'We Are Wizards' Premieres at South By Southwest Film Festival
March 7, 2008: 'We Are Wizards' is a new feature-length documentary all about the innovative subculture that has formed around the beloved 'Harry Potter' book series. 'Wizards' offers a glimpse into the lives of the people who have been a major part of the creation and evolution of this burgeoning subculture. One of the few to be featured in the film is Prophet Incorporated's founder, Heather Lawver. Both her work with The Daily Prophet and PotterWar are discussed, with special attention given to her contribution to the legal protection of fellow Potter fans, allowing them true creative freedom in an environment of fearless expression. But the film isn't just about the work; it's about people. It delves into very personal and private aspects of Ms Lawer's personality, daily life, aspirations, and struggles with debilitating illness.
The film is an official selection at the 2008 South By Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas and its world premiere will be held on Saturday, March 8th at the Austin Convention Center.
